Yes, it was. Lane Pearce bought the #14 Single Six. I can't remember the prices. I think the #14 went for just over $2,000. I dropped out at $1,500.

Sure we're some rare Rugers auctioned. Your brass frame OA is a one-of-a-kind I believe. All I have from that show is a paperweight!

Rod, I wish you had been there. I ended up buying the # 14 Single Six years later for a lot more than the original price that Lane Pearce bought it for at that auction. We need a time machine.

I purchased the SN 50 and 51 Redhawks(Were Fred Davis' SN assignments, you'll recall) I recall sitting to Pearce's back when he paid $1550 for the SN 14 gun.(he said that was all the money he had........) Those were factory ivories.............Lynn Laudise and I removed them to inspect, under the very watchful eyes of Mr Vogel, before the sale..........

The #50 & 51 Rugers were those made after Davis's death. Steve Vogel had kept them. Think his daughter Vickie end up with some later. I was there and bid on a few of these, but do not remember winning anything.

There was a 13xxx range .44 flattop in that auction as well, which had a ship date of 1976.
