10/22 * laminated Factory USED gun

10/22 * laminated Factory USED gun
Who else has a *laminated 10/22? I found a K10/22RB-BBZ several years ago and had to add it to my collection. This is the only * gun that I have seen or heard of but I would think there has to be a few more out there somewhere.

Can anyone add more information on the number of * guns that have been produced in all models? As I understand it the * in front of the serial number indicates that the gun was used at some type of shooting event and could not be sold as a new gun. The box is also marked as a used gun in red letters. The guns are referred as a star gun.

Another thing to add is that the serial number range puts it made in late 2001 but when I called the factory they said it did not ship until 2002.
