Found this Ruger by dumb luck ..
I was at a pawn shop looking around and found a Glenfield model 60 in great shape 80 bucks out the door . Talking with the guy I told him I am always looking for 44 mag long guns . Bolt, lever , pump , single shot , semi auto ... He said his other shop my have one?? Next day I went looking ,asked the guy behind the counter if they had any . Nope only 44 he said was a Ruger pistol . Really wasn't interested ,then he showed it to me. I thought it was a newer one because it was in great shape .. Noticed it was a 3 screw . Price tag said 600 dollars , I said thanks but really not interested. Walked out and got in my truck and looked up the serial # 1961 . looked up a couple online and they didn't look like the same barrel length. Went back in and asked for a tape measurer , 7.5 inch barrel . Back to the truck looked up 7.5 found a couple for sale 1250-1400 . Back in I go and before I could say anything the guy said 500 + tax out the door . 535 dollars later I'm the proud owner of it ...
