I like to collect stuff like this but I am thinking not to long in the future not to many people will know who they are. Field & Stream's shooting editor from 1947 to 1972 and author of a few books and very much active in the shooting industry. This gun was give to him by Bill Ruger.

Beautiful rifle, RSI rifles are my favorite. Thanks for the provenance, didn't recognize the name myself. He was at F&S before I started subscribing in the mid-70's as a young'un.

Nice rifle and really nice letter! The book pictured with it is only one of the two books written by Page. The other is The Accurate Rifle.
