ROCS 60th ANNIVERSARY SUPER BLACKHAWK

Post by flattop44 » Mon May 06, 2019 5:38 pm

As some of you know, Ruger made a special issue of 100 Super Blackhawks for ROCS to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Super first produced in 1959. As requested, these guns have a finish similar to the original 1959 models, more of a satin finish. They have walnut grips and a Micro marked Ruger Eagle logo rear sight. Inscribed in gold filled block lettering on top of the barrel is "60th ANNIVERSARY OF THE SUPER BLACKHAWK". A mahogany box is being made to replicate the original that the early 1959 Supers were shipped in. These boxes are being handmade and will be shipped separately with the factory letter in the June to July time frame. Just so you will know, you can see that the gun pictured has some oil on it.

We have several numbers that you can pick from including some consecutive sets, see the list below. The guns with the mahogany box are $995 each if paid by check or $1,030 each if paid via PayPal online. Please post "I'll take one (or two or more) with the number(s) you want and follow up with a PM. These may be offered to members in other ways so get you order in soon. Payment and FFL details for shipping will then be sent to you once you let me know what you want.

Numbers available as I type: Consecutive pairs: 28 & 29 Singles: 46, 54, 58, 68, 79, 82, 84, 86, 94 ,96

Let me know if you want one or two or ??. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Thanks, Bill

Picked up #38 on Wednesday and got to see #21 at the same time. It is very nice of the factory to do this special run for us!

Some things have been talked about but nothing certain. Some have suggested some type of a long gun which I think is a good idea since we have had 4 special issue handguns to date. Also there was a suggestion for a special double action of some sort for later on too. Both very good ideas. We will listen and entertain any ideas anyone may have.

I would suggest a No. 1 or an M77 chambered in an oddball caliber.

That sounds good, No.1 or M77 maybe even 77/22, 77/44 or the like.
