The serial number would be of great help (OOPS

I finally saw it). Looks like it's a real early standard model, dating 1950. Looks to be in pretty darn good condition.

Welcome, nice piece you have there, you don't run across those second year Standards that often. Thanks for sharing, do you know any history on it?

From the s/n it is a Type 4 Red Eagle. This is the rarest of the Red Eagles as only about 300 were made in October 1950. These have the same configuration as the Type 3 except they transitioned from a rounded to a flat muzzle crown.
