32 sp101

Post by 4t5 » Sat Jan 11, 2020 10:30 am

I have a sp in 32 h&r magnum , and was thinking of having the chambers lengthened to accept .327 magnum, question is,does the cost make it worth while,or should I leave it as is and buy a .327. I don't think the H&R version is going to be collectable.

Probably be less costly to just buy a SP101 in .327 Federal and keep the .32 as is...and then you have two guns which is always better! :)
I has a SP101 .32 rechambered to .327 Federal Mag when the cartridge was first introduced, I think it was back in 2007 or 2008. The work was done by my friend Hamilton Bowen at Bowen Classic Arms. He also put a S&W adjustable rear sight on it for me. Its quite a shooter and special to me. Cost quite a bit but $$$s well spent in my opinion!

I would like to have the barrel fixed, front sight not quite at 12 o'clock, two clicks left just bugs me.
