Its a beautiful checkered 37, 16 gauge, improved choke (.651). Steel-capped forearm. Plain barrel. Classy field gun. Ithaca Gun Co. Inc. two-screw buttplate.
Built in 1940, estimated 85%+ metal, no damage. Wood vg-exc.
