Ruger 96/44 New in box from 1998

I have been out of the gun business a LONG time and haven't a clue on today's value. I would estimate it was around $350 back then. This rifle has been stored in a climate controlled gun safe with the hang tag still on it. Box is complete with rings packing and paperwork, all still in the box. Any help her?

Sorry, I dropped the ball on this... Trying to build a new house, can't find subs and can't find materials.... and the price of materials! :o

Yes, I was thinking it probably went up a bunch in value. Thanks for the info! I also sent a VERY LATE PM.
