I'm not a serious collector and that is probably why I don't understand why this gun is selling so high. I know it was part of the Ruger collection in Southport and is unfired. Other than that is there something rare or unusual about this gun that makes this gun sell so high? I thought it was a fairly common model.

Nothing special as far as I can see other than for raising money for a good cause. Nice revolver but no original box or papers (just the manual), has a lock because they have to include it. Open market, probably sells for less than half that but it's a fund raiser so many will go for it.

They already have a current bid of $2000 with six days left. A good cause for sure. I often see some crazy starting bids on GB but this is an actual bid. I thought I may have been missing something, thanks Ron
