The barrel on that rifle sure looked like a "D" weight to me. Is that the case, or was it just how it looked from the perspective of the pictures I saw?

Either way, a nice Christmas present for Byron and when you add the excise tax on top of the winning bid, a nice bit of change for the organization that benefited from its sale.

Would be interesting to know if it was a C or D weight and which crown? My recollection is that there were 2 in .222, a .243, a .308 and now this 6mm in the 1V configuration on the Ruger Auction. Is that correct? I can't believe there are not more up there in Newport stashed away. The 2 in .222 were different in crown or weight? The 1st .222 was a C weight and a target crown.

I will let you know as soon as I get it, Havent heard a word from it yet. I have the 243 V, It has the same barrel as all the Vs. It doesn't have the recessed crown. Im pretty sure Kelly has the 308.

Picked up the 6mm today, It does have a D weight barrel and the crown isn't recessed.

I thought it looked too big for a "C" weight barrel. Great addition to the collection.
