Charger take down Model 04927 question
A friend called me about a gun he purchased in 2010 or 2011 while working for the NRA. It is a Charger takedown model 04927 with a Walnut stock and black plastic pistol grip. . It also has a 15-round mag and bipod in a plastic case. He called Ruger and they said this model was not listed or shipped until 2015. Is it possible this eas a prototype that shipped early in error? Thanks for your thoughts.

I would see if it falls within the manufacture dates that Ruger gives on their Charger Dates of Manufacture page...

Then you can get the actual year that particular sn was shipped off of Ruger's serial number lookup page...

Just looked up the 2027 and that was part of Ruger's 4R Dealer promotional program in 2015/2016... a brown takedown with brown laminate stock... I have two serial numbers reported 490-87205 and 490-87369.
