With 2 frame materials (stainless steel and lightweight aluminum) and 3 frame sizes (full size (5" barrel), "commander" size (4 1/2" barrel), and "officer" size (3 1/2" barrel)) and by mixing and matching sights, colors, calibers, and special orders, Ruger had created approximately 95 different models since its introduction. Production reached close to 400,000 SR1911s by the close of 2023.
The display includes some rare (less than 300 produced) models as well as some common models along with a list of known model numbers."
