From all I have seen, Ruger has done a wonderful job of bringing back Marlin. The guns look better than anything Marlin ever did in the past! Of course, now you can't buy one that isn't over a thousand bucks! I remember when I was a kid every year after hunting season I could go in to any pawn shop in the town I lived in and buy a Marlin for usually less than 200 bucks, and a Winchester for about 50 bucks more! It's really hard for me to even contemplate they sell for what they do now.

Congratulations! That 1894 is a beautiful rifle! And of course it is in the perfect caliber! With conventional rifling, it should be good for both jacketed and cast lead bullets! Sincerely. bruce.

I picked one up about a month ago & it has very nice wood on it also. I looked it over hard for the fitting of the wood the bluing finish. I am impressed with quality! Great Job Ruger!
