10/22 and 44 Deerstalker serial number 7

These guns were owned by Oliver Knode a friend of Bill Ruger and an engineer for Savage arms that did some moonlighting for Ruger in the early years. The rings and bases are Savage branded lyman Tru-Lock rings and bases.

Someday I am going to take closeups of the 10/22. It really has nice wood.

Outstanding rifles. Do you know whether or not Mr. Knode had subscription number seven? I would imagine so.
