I'm looking for a old model 44 Flattop that has had its barrel shortened to 4 5/8s or thereabouts but still looks relatively stock.
I've seen a few around over the years.
I'd like to put together a display using the three standard guns I have in 6 1/2, 7 1/2 and 10 (1959-60), plus a couple others I own with custom silhouette barrels of 13.5 and 15", both of which look stock.

I have one that has a cut and crowned 4 5/8" barrel. It is an Old Model that was worked on by Mag-Na-Port in Mt. Clements, MI.
I carried it on 3 Elk hunts in the mountains of northern, New Mexico where a Lion came into my kill! It was a comfort to know that I could defend myself. The barrel has a deep crown and and was accurized to shoot dead on at 25 yards. Brass Frame/Lee E.
