There's been talk on the forum about a ROCS Challenge Coin. Lets get a feel on how many will actually buy a ROCS coin. This coin may be a metal coin or a poker chip style coin (depending on cost). This poll will run for 90 days to give everyone a chance to see it. You can leave comments.

We do invite comments also if you want to ask or suggest something, we want to have the ROCS members involved in the process that's why I started the poll.

"Sure would like to know how ROCS members feel about this."
I studied this idea and tried to consider all the various options.
I collect memorabilia and such. I enjoy that a lot along with the firearms. But not many share the same passions that I do. That's reflected in the responses I see during displays. I can't recall any display that won top awards that was just items & didn't include guns. Memorabilia is enjoyed by many,, yet those who actively pursue such stuff usually have preferences & don't "buy it all" !
And one way to ensure sales is to keep the choices down.
Too many of an item can get overwhelming & lose it's appeal.
We have the ROCS patches,, and by adding the year to them,, they have an appeal. They are limited to that specific year, and a smaller number of collectors try & get all of them.
Look at the glassware that Ruger has offered over time. The early stuff,, very limited in types & quantities is desired. Nowadays,, there's a huge selection of glassware, & it's lost it's unique appeal to many. And heck,, even some of the early glassware doesn't have a good resale value to where a collector considers buying much of it.
My point is that PERSONALLY,, I feel a challenge coin is a good idea,, but no more than one or two types.

Good post Tyrone, that's what I want to hear, the opinions of the group along with their votes.

I think challenge coin with WBR-1949 and a RST4 on one side and the ROCS logo on the other would be great. 1 coin would suffice for the idea and work for most members
