Ruger 21 Lithographs

One of my gun shop haunts has what he says is a full set of the 21 Lithograph series that Ruger put out a while back. I know nothing much other than what I could find doing a search of past auctions that had either 1 or several for sale.. I know that there were supposedly 950 sets sold by ruger, and I think they were to tie in with the engraving of the ‘21’ series of #1s, but I don’t know if that is true…

Can someone enlighten me on what their significance is and value, as I may try to convince him to pull them out of his safe and let me see them, maybe even buy them…. Thanks in advance, Tom

I'm sure that someone will chime in if I'm wrong, but I believe there were two sets of 21. There was a book shop in Wyoming that had both sets that had both sets on ebay and were asking $1000 for them. I communicated back and forth but ultimately did not purchase them. They were just the prints and none of them had been framed yet. I probably should have bought them, but the timing was off as I was in the process of giving the Machine Gunner in Nebraska a couple of big checks.

Tom, my set is packed and in secure storage. From memory I believe it only includes long guns by Ruger;
No.1 rifle, Red Label shotgun, Model 96 rifle, Gold Label shotgun, Model 77 rifle, 10/22 and .44 Carbine. Please do not hold me to this list as it has been some time since I reviewed them. They are very well done and came in a large heavy duty envelope.
