Question on the No 1 CHP 357 mag Soft Case

Post by taterark »

I purchased one these rifles a few months ago from a local guy. It came in a CHP soft case. Supposedly the rifle has not been fired and has been stored in this case since the initial purchase. My question, did all of these special edition rifles come with a soft case like this one?

Thanks, Todd

The original owner was from CA. He had a towing business here in AR. Not sure what he did in CA. I bought the gun from his son. The son told me that his dad bought the No 1 and the revolver also. A Smith & Wesson I think. The son did not mention his dad having any connection to CHP but did say the No 1 was the one gun he’d never sell.

I have a soft case just like that for my CHP 357. I have had it for many years.

That's good to know. I didn’t know if it was something someone just put a patch on or what. I guess they were available through the association. Thanks for the info Steve.
