Got my letter from Ruger today. My recently acquired old model Blackhawk .30 Carbine was shipped in Jan of 1971 to Hodgdon! Raises more questions than it answers. I wonder if they used it for load development, or if they had a retail store, or what?

That is interesting. Maybe if you write Hodgdon you can find out more?

Cool! Looking forward to hearing their reply. I'm a sucker for less mainstream calibers so that's far more interesting than any .38/.44, unless maybe it was William Cody's personal .38/.44 or something. Fingers crossed you get a killer letter back from them.
