The last RIAC Online Auction had a US Marked Mark 1 and a USN Marked Mark 1, prices seemed a bit high, but I have only recently been watching for these:

Serial # 77204 Serial # 322484 Are these outliers, or expected prices?

These seem in line with hammer prices I've seen for a US marked Mk I, which show a median price of $2,116 over four recent sales.

The T678 U.S. is a good gun. Letters as going to a government agency and has factory stamp on receiver. The other one the T512, well not so good
You look at the letter and it states it is a T512W W is walnut grips the gun pictured has the hard plastic. The other thing is letter does not indicate going to a government agency but does give shipping date April of 1966. No doubt the gun was used by the military but did not leave the factory with those stamping. From what I know about these is the "484" is probably what rack number it belonged to for inventory reasons, the "P" never seen that, I have seen the flamming bomb stamped in that area and I'm sure it was used for Navy training purposes but the Navy would have stamped that as well. Not sure if the buyer knew what he was buying. It's a good example for a collection but my opinion seems a bit high. The T678 I think went for a good price. First contract gun and most common.

Take in consideration of what contract it falls under. First contract had two serial number blocks and is the most common. Second contract only one known at this time. I know the sixth contract is pretty rare
Thing to consider on those is after the assassination of Kennedy the military stopped selling surplus guns to the civilian market. I think less than a dozen are known in private collections. Then when you get into the Navy Seal guns those overrun guns that went through the RCA will letter as a KMK512B the actual contract guns will letter as a KMK512N, only two of those N guns are in a private collection. So remember value depends on what contract.

Was there a military designation for these, as well as a military manual?

There is a military manual that has the Mark 1 in it along with several other weapons. Not sure about designation?

The Army Technical Manual is "TM 9 -1005-226-14"
