No, I saw it on Gunbroker tonight, but that serial number is not a factory RSSE unit. It definitely got my attention too but not a factory engraving.

So, it's in the correct range for the final Jerred group but not factory. Is there a complete list somewhere?
I like it anyway.

I edited my first post with a photo from the back of Dougan's Vintage Years book. He also has them listed in his Compliments of Col Ruger.

Thanks,
I just ordered COMPLIMENTS on eBay last week.
Glad I didn't pay a factory- engraved price for that beauty.

It sold on Hibid recently with a case. Now for sale without.

Wow, wish I'd seen that. Very interesting. The box must be worth more than the gun. Odd that someone would pair a non factory engraved Six with a factory box.

The Single-Six shown below was shipped in 1956 as a plain revolver but sent to Charles Jerred for engraving. Not a factory engraved revolver, but a nice one, nonetheless. Jerred's "signature" is on top of the barrel in the usual location. Read more about this revolver in ROCS Digest, Fall 2015, volume 2, issue 2, page 17.
