Mrs. Cash and I ran into a really nice old Ruger at the gun show this past weekend. Model 77 ST in .30-06. This kind is right up my alley and at a price too cheap to print. Dr.C  70-Series

That sure looks like a good one!! Glad that you got a great deal, fine rifles !! I have a M77 .06 that I bought back in 1969 that has accounted for a pretty good batch of Alabama & Tennessee Whitetails over the years.

Nice rifle; you did good. FT44, I don't think they were making 30/06's in the M77 in 1969. :?:

watertender: I enjoy'em all. Will probably develop a cast bullet load for it. I could say that I wish it were a hollow bolt, which is where my main interest is, but heck I have nib ones and still this is a great rifle. Dr.C

Such a nice gun. I have been taking notice of the old round tops. Very well made.

Ooops, you are 100% correct ENU, my '69 purchase was a .308, it was '74 when I bought the .06.
Still downed several WTs with it! ;)
