New Mexico Coues Buck

I have been hunting this year more than any recent years. Have not even hunted here on the Ranch much.
First of December, I was in SW New Mexico along the Gila River. Opening morning I managed to take this dandy Coues Buck. Was using a Ruger No.1V in 6.5x284 Norma. My shooting was not exactly stellar, but I did manage to get him down. For those not knowledgeable about the Coues Whitetails, they were a favorite of Jack O'Connor. Generally only found in Southern Arizona and New Mexico; also northern Mexico. Takes 110" to make B&C Record book; this buck was about 103".
