Idea to encourage new collectors

What are your thoughts on creating a category for long guns and another for more recent released models in the judging? If we want to get new collectors to display we need to do something to encourage them come to come to the shows and display! Yes it is neat to see the many fine guns from the past that hold so much history but not everyone may have the funds to collect the old guns but they may be more able to afford some of the more current models. With all the new models that RUGER is coming out with each year it may entice someone into collecting and displaying something new. If you look at the age of most of those that attend a collector show you will notice most are 60 or over. We need to attract younger people and I am just trying to think of ways to attract more any younger people to our group. Lets hear your ideas.

I wouldn't be opposed to discussing additional categories, but should be either current/discontinued OR long gun/hand gun.
