Anyone know what this mark signifies? 1st clue: it's not a mark on a Ruger. It is on a military rifle stock.

Coogs wins!
During WWII, Elmer Keith was at the Ogden Utah Arsenal. His inspection cartouche was the OGEK with the rectangle around it, as there was another inspector with the initials EK. This EK used the inspector mark of OGEK without the rectangle.
This is on a second month of production Winchester 1917 Enfield. I've always had a soft spot for Enfields, as my cousin had one when we were teenagers and we shot it a lot! I've had several over the years that have come and gone, but this one is here to stay.
