Yes, probably used a Sears screwdriver to remove those larger diameter heaed screws, as the first ones ,that had used the 'escutcheons' in the holes the screw head was smaller diameter,,,some even had the same screws, smaller heads in th grips the escutcheons were NOT used so looked funny with an &q...

I think you will find a variation among them from mag to mag, almost, to me, like they turned them by hand, and are usually just rounded at the top, some a bit of a flat, and the first ones a bit larger in diameter for the button itself,,in fact if you look at the mags pictured in Chads 'Encyclopedi...

Oh yes, Laura did that many years ago, with her very first Red eagle #3102 , then when the Bill Ruger stainless Signature model came out she got the match an d I found her the Single Six same number , so it can be done......heck a few years ago before Don W., passed away he found her the SAME serial...
