Ruger No. 1 - B with sights 300 Win Mag

Has anybody seen one of these before. Really low 130- serial number.

I have one that looks very similar to yours, it is part of my collection of Transition No.1 rifles that are serial numbered in the
130-00024 to 130-05XXX range.. My 130-00024 is a 7mm mag. with open sights, 26" barrel, alex henry forearm and outstanding wood. The action is serial numbered to the receiver, as are all of my transition No.1 rifles. Great looking and rare caliber gun that you have. Brass Frame/Lee E

I would love to see your 7mm. Do you have a picture.

Mine also has the action numbered to match the last 3 digits of the serial number. The but stock has an "a" on it and the forestock has a "t". These would be the person who did the checkering?

as stated these were transitional...ordered during 1969 as the as an S26M w/ sights (from collector nomenclature a BBS) but built on a 130 action...great find..I have 2 in non prefix a 243 and a 30-06

Wow! you have two non prefix of the BBS! Nice! Someday I hope to get to a show so i can see some of them in person.
