Best Modern Handgun Display

ROCKS member Michael Splittgerber was awarded First Place in the Modern Handgun class at the Minnesota Trophy Display Show last weekend. The competition included vintage high quality Colt auto pistols (2 cases). Mike's display included an RSSE, serial number 35519, which was originally shipped to Minnesota in June of 1956 and Single Six, serial number, 2434. Number 2434 is believed to have been engraved by Cole Agee in the early 50s. Agee engraved the prototype Single Six featured on the cover of the 1954 Gun Digest. Related letters, photographs, and documents were shown offering the public a very interesting and educational display. They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
