Large Ruger Auction

Post by Ruger44fan »

Poulin's Auctions of Fairfield, Maine is having an auction on June 8&9 that includes a lot of the inventory of a large gun shop (2500 guns) that had a fondness for Rugers. There should be some significant bargains. The more collectable and valuable Rugers will be offered in their Fall auction set for October 19-21. Also in that auction will be the Jack Packard #46 collection to be sold individually! There are about 96 firearms with the #46 plus most all of the employee gifts, etc. from Jack's tenure at Ruger; 1958 to 1985. Also, I have learned from some other collectors, that because of the significant Ruger focus of the Fall auction, they will be adding Rugers from their collections as well. It appears is will be one of the largest auctions of Ruger firearms and memorabilia ever held. Be sure to look for the June items on their website and again in October. You won't want to miss this auction !

Bennet,
I am at the "Poulin's Auctions of Fairfield, Maine" website and can't seem to find the auction details for the Rugers. Going to their "http://www.poulinauctions.com/events/" page, they only show the June 14 to June 16 NEAAS auction.
Trying to find what is offered and bid, Thanks Mike

Mike, try here: https://poulinantiques.hibid.com/catalo ... e-auction/

Then go to View Session One Catalog and go to page 3, I believe they start around Lot 1120, rifles at 1158.

Bennet,
Thank you, I looked at the guns for sale. I will wait for the fall auction, since I didn't see any OM Single Action guns. Always tempting to see so many fine lookin irons. Wonder if any member lives close enough to view the fall lots? Love to have a shot at some nice guns.....but not seeing what you are getting always makes me nervous.
Thanks again for pointing the auction out. Mike

Mike, I'm glad I could help you with it, but it was Ruger44fan that brought the auction to our attention and I think he lives in the area. I believe that the 2nd auction is the one that is the one to really pay attention to.

Thanks, My bad, fixed it. Yeah, I didn't see any OM's but there were a good number of other Rugers there and I noticed many of the handguns were single lots of 2 or more guns so there might be a bargin to be had.
