1975 -S4 - Ruger Single-Six .22LR Single Cylinder Revolver, 200 (?) made one year.
Identified by a "Star" stamped in front of the trigger guard on the cylinder frame.
To give you an idea of how Rare they are. An Old Model Collector was once trying to find one and he had two Rare SC-4 Revolvers.
He said he was willing to trade one of his SC-4 Revolvers & he was not asking for any money too boot!!

Terry, without a doubt that's how you show the collectability of the New Model Rugers. Putting together that collection of Star Single-Sixes took any combination of foresight, patience, luck and money. Thanks for sharing, first time I think I've seen all of them together. Are you talking pics with the phone yet?

Wow, that's more "STARS" than in Hollywood. That is a great group Terry, quite an accomplishment. Way to go. You need to come to Tulsa and display them.
Bill
There are a pair of SC-4 here guarding the Hawkeye girls........In my many decades of Ruger wrangling, have never come across either a blue or ss star gun with the short barrel
To be able to put those together is quite amazing to me.
Good for you Terry!
I like the family pic. Kinda the opposite of the family reunion photo where all the tall folks are in the middle and the "short barrels" taper out!
Cheers,
Jay
I do not "own" these guns, I am but the next caretaker
Jay,
The S4 is the key gun to putting that set together! The KS4 - S9 & KS9 are also very tough to find in any condition.
A lot of New Model Collectors of the Star guns gave up and sold off their guns out of frustration of not being
able to find an S4.
As to the way they are displayed in the picture weaselmeatgravy once ask me "But can you play that pipe organ" .
One of Flatgates favorite .22 cal. shooters was a KS9, he spoke fondly of it many times.

Terry, I hope that you would honor us with a display of these very same New Model Rugers at the OGCA/ROCS display show in July, 2023! You would be a strong candidate for a ROCS- NRA Silver Medallion award? Send me your home address and I will send you a show packet next March with all the details.
