Picked this up in Tulsa serial number 20xx.
Mr Findley & Radical Rod both confirmed for me original bolt, grips and mag for a first year gun.
I just got the letter back from Ruger and it was produced in November 1949 and shipped November 1954!??!
Any ideas or opinions why this one sat around 5 years before it was shipped?
Kinda odd to me.

Great find Jay! Manufacturing dates vs. shipping dates can be a mystery sometimes. Perhaps a story on that one you will never find out about. It's a beauty and more important... It's yours now!!!
