In your original copy, can you make out a serial# and tell where the medallion is??

This looks like a prototype. Look at the cylinder flutes. Not a clear image. I can't make out a serial number, if it even has one. I can tell the case has real similar, if not identical, hardware as that of RSSEs. Probably the same box maker who later did the RSSE boxes with green interior?? I believe the gun is laying in the upper inside half of the case. This is 1953.

Saw one of the red lined boxes back in the mid seveties at a Rochester, Mn Mn Weapons Collectors' show...........Had a MICRO sighted RSSE in it.............Did not buy, had no funds and no info...DUH.................
