Ruger Sign.

Post by SPAS 15 »

Hello,

I recently bid at an auction in Holland for a Ruger enamel sign. As some of you know I live in the U.K. and Ruger memorabilia does not tend to show up and with it being so close to me I just could not resist and had to make a bid, or several.

I have no idea if it is original. It is 11.75” round, it has a date on it of 1968 it is a bit tatty, they call that character and I probably paid a bit too much for it but I don’t care because I like it and that’s all that matters.

Does anybody know if it is original? It would be great to hear from you.

Pretty neat! I have never seen one like it.......I would say that it was not authorized, at least here in the states....who knows what could have been overseas .......one thing a Ruger collector needs to learn though is "never" say "never" with Ruger......

This collector had his heart go "pitter-patter" when I saw the picture. I too, like so many here have never seen one of those signs. And I'd LOVE to have it in my collection of memorabilia.

That said,, I'd venture a wild guess that it's not a factory authorized item. I base that upon the missing "Circled R trademark" symbol. Plus it says; "United State" not "States!"

But I too would buy it in a heartbeat. I LIKE IT!!!!!!!

That would have most definitely came home with me if I had seen it for sale. How can you go wrong with Ruger and Yosemite Sam on the same sign.
