NOT a Ruger

These photos are not of a Ruger but nice to see anyway. This work was done by former Factory Ruger engraver, Paul Lantuch. Paul spent 6 weeks sketching the pattern for the lay-out design for engraving and inlay. A whole year went into the actual engraving and inlay work. It's called the India Rifle. Caliber is 600 Nitro.

I just cannot understand how anyone can have that kind of talent. That is an incredible work of art.

I enjoy ornate and engraved guns, but this is "over the top"! Just imagine the amount of metal he had to remove in the butt plate and receiver area. All the gold inlay is usually dove tailed into the steel by hand? Outstanding artistry. Lee E
