A long time ago I got several bins of what I thought were ‘conversion’ black and yellow flap boxes and shippers that were addressed to the dealer. Inside these boxes were shipping instructions and a postage label addressed back to to Ruger.
However, mixed in with these were two boxes and shippers with labels on the end. I am not familiar with these. See pic.
Anyone want to lend some knowledge and wisdom? What ya think?

Re: 44 Box Label ?
Interesting find! I imagine the owners of the penciled serial numbers would be interested in procuring them (I checked, they do not match my flattop).
Re: 44 Box Label ?
I think they are someone's homemade labels. Not factory. Could be wrong. You never know.

Re: 44 Box Label ?
I have two as well without the penciled serial numbers. They were labeled by Ruger and used to ship back a revolver. One I am very sure was a refinish having a complete UPS label to a gun shop I worked at. It may have had a safety conversion done as well. The other is a much older looking shipper with what appears to be most of a USPS label. Both sent to Maine. Hope this helps
