Hamilton Bowen Book

Post by twriggen »

Not a Ruger but still happy to have it in my literature collection next to all my Ruger books.

It is a great book. I had a copy several years ago and when the price of it kept going up I decided someone else needed it worse than I did. You would think with some of the prices of these books that someone would reprint them. Like the Skeeter books, I would love to own them but I am too cheap to pay what people ask for them! LOL.

I have a collection of 9 Elmer Keith books and really enjoy them! He made many comments about early revolver shooting which are unique for his time. Brass Frame/Lee E

Wish I had my old library back. And a lot that weren't in it. But with desirable books costing as much as a new gun or case of ammo (or multiple) I don't see that happening. Maybe in a decade when I'm too old for the guns I'll sell them to buy the books.

A great book for sure!!!!!

I've always felt that a library is second only to owning the actual items. I have an extensive library of books & such,, that I truly enjoy. I have always bought books I liked for decades.

Just last night,, I had out an old Gun Digest book on Assembly/Disassembly to study a gun that I may have to take apart for a friend. And I can lay my hands on books by Keith, Skeeter, Jordan, & many, many others.
