1970 Super Blackhawk questions...

Post by telepbrman »

Greeting...I'm researching the great Super Blackhawk, and what I want I to know is -- In 1970, what barrel lengths did the Super Blackhawk come in? I figured out that the serial number for a 1970 Super Blackhawk should fall between: 80-13369 and 80-27909. Thanks...dy.

The Supers during that time period all had 7-1/2" barrels. There is one exception that has been reported, an employee gun that has a 12-1/2" barrel and is marked as a "Second" with an "s" stamped in front of the trigger guard...#80-15445. If you have obtained that one we salute you and need pictures asap!!

Good to go...thanks for the scoop. My born on date is 1970, and I'm going to track down a Super Blackhawk from that year.
