B Ruger/Elmer Keith Letters

Post by d findley »

In a letter to Bill Ruger, dated December 14, 1953, Elmer Keith suggests Ruger produce a Single Six in 25 Stevens. Ruger replies in a letter dated February 2, 1954. Here are 2 paragraphs from Ruger's letter.

Yes, it is part of the book. Just a little tease. If I don't stop I'll have the entire book online.

Don, you can keep teasing us, it helps to sell your book! I am purchasing two of your books. One to pass on to one of my grand sons and one will be a "working" edition for me. Amazing, WBR was thinking about a proprietary cartridge already in 1953, showing us how far ahead of his time his thinking was! Keep it up! Brass Frame/Lee

I've seen it! ;) Don had a copy at Dallas this last weekend. This book is sooo big, that it would crash our website if he tried to put it all on here. All I will tell you is that there is a lot of Ruger stuff in here that has never been seen or heard of before!

Put me down for a copy! Don you never fail to amaze people with your Ruger treasures. This will go with my other Ruger reference books. Thanks in advance, Carl "Watertender"
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...
