$75 for a paperback is proper steep, mate... even if it is the definately rare sort of book. Personal cheques as well, ive not written one of those in years, my bank would probably laugh at me. Id want a look at the contents before parting with that much, worked for me anyway when i got stung on an old Triumph manual once.

If you would do some research, you would learn Don Findley has produced many, many high quality volumes on multiple Ruger subjects. His works document SR history unavailable anywhere.

Don Findley has forgotten more about Ruger than most people know. I have many of Don's books and they are a wealth of knowledge. He is also a personal friend of many of us here.

Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Oof Dah, I was somewhat taken aback by the "value" judgement on Donnie's book. While I always respect honest opinion's on any subject, I think it is best to keep things as positive as possible in these forums, and hope the author would take the time to look at the entire works of this man who is a giant in the Ruger world. I had 1 Ruger until 4 years ago when I met the people responsible for my illness, it started with meeting the Potato farmer in Tulsa who dragged me over to Don Findley's table and told me to buy his book on Bill Ruger's 22 pistol. If I were to pay for the book by time spent reading it I would be broke! Since that day I have purchased every book I could find the he wrote, and the same goes for the books by John Dougan and Chad Hiddleson. If you enjoy the history of the Ruger company and the hunt for Rare Ruger's, all of these are a prerequisite to learning what you need to know.

Oh, I almost forgot, Don please save me a copy of the book and I will get a check in the mail if it is still available, and Thank You for everything you have done for the Ruger community and for all the help you have given me in my Ruger Quest, you ARE the best! Bill

I received my copy late last week and spent the weekend reading this outstanding book of documents about the casting division of Ruger. I believe the historical information is well worth the wait via Media Mail. I have ordered and received every book written by this ROCS Historian. Very happy with my purchase Don! Brass Frame/Lee
