Ruger 77 .308

Post by gunman42782 »

Ran into this gun today and it had to come home with me. Ruger 77 MK2 in .308, stainless with laminated stock. Looked just like brand new, barrel squeaky clean! Put a Nikon 3-9 on it. Have only shot a few rounds through it, but it is minute of deer for sure. Only had some FMJ handloads on hand.

Took my new (to me) Ruger 77 MK2 .308 shooting yesterday. I think I might keep this one! The high shot was the first shot from a cold barrel, followed by 4 more shots that are touching. I am very happy with this good a group from a sporter weight barrel.

Wow! You ought to be happy with that.
My experience if there was oil in the barrel, the first shot can go off too.
