.22wmr only

Post by Rommel »

I rescued a Ruger SS in .22wmr only. It came in a box - a junk box. Everything was there except for the grips. I sent it to Ruger after I had assembled it, and they gave it the safety retro-fit. They also sent back all the original parts. It is a great user gun. Is there any collector value?

I aaume that they refinished it? If so it hurts the collector value even though the factory did the work. Be a nice looking one to burn some power in.

Thanks Flattop 44. Still has factory finish. And yes, it is a nice handling gun, and I enjoy shooting it. Safety conversion is easy to live with, although the trigger pull has a bit more creep than the original.

Original finish is a plus, of course condition is everything. The Mag. only are collectible. Be sure to keep the original parts with the gun, they hurt collector value when missing.
Enjoy!!
