Very nice! I too appreciate you sharing memories. Can you tell me what the numbers mean on the brassards which have them? Is it the year/number produced? If so, I have never seen that information on production numbers.

Not production numbers . year / number of members at that time .

And that isn't all of them lol I have articals written about my dad about his custom guns and being one of the top custom builders in the world during the 80s . he's built guns for actors . senators and even tv shows such as a custom double barrel hog for actor Red West . or uncle red lol . being from Memphis Tn ,i've had the pleasure and privilege to meet several people . it's nice to be able to share these memories as some have passed on .

That is a great patch collection! I'm not sure if this early (probably 50's) brassard could be considered a shoulder patch. Probably made of light plastic, cloth material covered, 4 inches diameter. Ruger employees would pin this to their jacket as they manned the Ruger booth at NRA meetings/shows. Held in place by 4 pin fasteners. One is pictured in Wilson's big Ruger book.

It was great chatting with you today but apologize for my phone dying! Mondays keep the phone melting down. Pretty cool to learn that we are only 45 minutes from each other and a year apart in age. Looking forward to having another Ruger guy so close!

Don......that's pretty sweet btw!
