According to John Dougan's book this is a "Salt Cod Box" Ruger. Would be great if you had the original boxes it came in.
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

It sure would be nice. I've only seen pics of a salt box. That's my holy Grail!

That was a nice collection of Red Eagles and Mark I's at auction. I almost upped the bid on you but congrats on a nice buy.
