Vaquero

Post by Jim Hoobler »

I have a Vaquero 45lc that is engraved. It has ivory /ivory type grips. On the grey plastic box is a label stating:
Ruger Vaquero 4 5/8 engraved limited 1,499.00. I sent for a letter from Ruger and it came back plain high gloss ss with ivory grips. Ruger will not tell me what distributor it was shipped to. Can one of you tell me who had it engraved ?

Jim, if you could post some pictures it may help someone identify this Vaquero. Also maybe you can have it in Tulsa for some of the collectors to check out, they may be able to ID it.

I will have it at Tulsa. Both Baron and Talo think it is factory.

This Ruger was done for me at the Ruger Studio of Art and Engraving in 2007 by Heidi Roos. I guess I should call to see if a factory letter would reflect the same information.

A beauty! I assume that you got a letter of authentication from the Studio, that is about as good as it gets!
