NRA silver Medal
NRA silver Medal
The NRA Exhibits & Meetings are next month in Dallas. These 2 Rugers were offered for consideration for silver medals at one of their resent meetings in Houston. They were not worthy for consideration for 1 of 20 of those awards. The judges rushed by with just a glance with out-stretched arms to their buddies with antique arms! Why bother?

Re: NRA silver Medal
There is no accounting for some people's taste in many areas. It's a shame that those 2 fine examples were brushed off. I would like to see what those judges felt was more worthy....
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...
Re: NRA silver Medal
I tried but was not able to get a list of post WWII firearms that received those awards (if any). Not saying there were not more deserving candidates. Just thought the Rugers should have been considered.

Re: NRA silver Medal
Gorgeous revolvers. Historically significant. Linked with men who were pivotal to firearms in general and the .44 Magnum in particular. Would have thought one or both would have been considered. Sincerely. bruce.

Re: NRA silver Medal
Those judges have tunnel vision. If it's not a Colt or Winchester then it's not worthy. Sad but true IMHO.
Re: NRA silver Medal
I believe it. My Colt snob FFL always tells me "there's no such thing as a collectable Ruger"rpm enterprises wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2024 9:53 am Those judges have tunnel vision. If it's not a Colt or Winchester then it's not worthy. Sad but true IMHO.

JAYDAWG - Don't argue with him, he's an idiot and he'll just bring you down to his level and because he has so much experience (being a dumbass) he will win.
