Don't have the exact dimensions handy, but you can obviously see the difference. This is one of the reasons I have been recording Max serial numbers to try and determine when this change may have been made. If any of you have sent me a number on a 7 1/2 Max could you take a look at it again and let me know what height you have? I'd appreciate it, Thanks, Coogs.
I knew someone was going to ask before I could answer. Posted this, as now, at work. All my notes are at home, didn't look it up last night, will tonight. Sometimes I have a severe case of CRS, this is one of them. Bill, being as I'm one of the youngest "old" guys, you may probably experience the same??? Jack. (I know RR does, sometimes he has to look at that tatoo to remember his wife's name!)
Nah, not me.....err did I ask a question about something??
I know one thing that I never forget, I never forget what day it is. Why? Because my cool pill tray has the day labeled on each compartment lid....however the key is to never miss a day taking your meds or you are in deep trouble!!

The high front sights occur on the low serial numbered guns. I don't have my complete numbers here at work, but, the highest number I have listed for a high front sight is 3068, the first one I have listed for a low front sight is 6664. A lot of numbers in between, but I would say that the low front sight 7 1/2 Max is the rarer of the two. Once I look at my complete records I will probably be able to narrow that down. Coogs.
