Gorgeous Black Ebony Grips offer a nice contrast with the polished stainless. They come with an El Paso Saddlery Money Belt and Holster and also an Askins Avenger Holster for the 45 Auto that Mike reformed to this gun. It is an excellent fit.

395 Customized Ruger Old Model Blackhawk. A WAX BULLET Fast Draw Competition Gun. Action has NOT been converted to Transfer Bar System. Originally a 357 Mag, it is now chambered in 45 Colt. It has a 4-5/8” ALUMINUM 45 cal Barrel. I believe these guns were first built in the 50s and 60s for Fast Draw Competition. They were fired against the clock, usually at a balloon immediately in front of the shooter. NOT FOR LIVE AMMO!!! For WAX BULLETS ONLY driven by a PRIMER ONLY!!! Trigger Guard has been cut away to Half Width on right side. Frame, Cylinder, and Grip Frame are Nickel. Barrel and Ejector Tube are Natural Aluminum. Frame is Flat Topped with no sight groove remaining. No Front Sight. Has an extra Fanning Hammer with a spur that points straight up. Some nickel loss on backstrap. 638 Ruger Old Model LONG GRIP FRAME Super Blackhawk 44 Mag. Only About 950 Long Grip Frame guns were built. Original Blue Finish has light to moderate pitting on Backstrap, Cylinder, Ejector Tube, Loading gate, and Recoil Shield. Some scattered light pitting in other areas. This is a great candidate for a custom engraving job which is what Mike intended to do with it. Excellent Action that has not been converted to the Transfer Bar. Grips are very Good.
