Re: My Red Eagle just arrived….

She is better than the pics on the site I bought it on showed…wow, probable a 98-99% gun in my opinion… and correct mag. Has the slotted bolt, which makes sense as per RENE, last Type 1 ended at sn 3281 and mine is 3282…. She needs a good cleaning…. Hmmm... I'll have to see who had 3281 back in the...

Ruger never made enough profit on the Red Label to continue production.

Re: King front sight or homemade??

Definitely homemade. I think the King sights have KING stamped right on them.
I'm curious if your barrel was cut, which made it necessary to put another front sight on.

Re: 1961 Rugers

You can delete 5 through 8 on your list. And add the .44 Deerstalker #13 can stay as just RSSM (that was Mag. only). That's neat! Right before they went to the red hinged box... trying to use up all the Old model two-piece boxes.

Re: 1961 Rugers

You will also need a 10" .357 flattop with 8-groove barrel.
And a white box Super.
Those two will probably be the most pricey.
A challenge will be the RSS4X and RSS9X XR3 convertibles.

Re: Anyone seen stags like these?

It looks like somebody didn't like the bark that was on the grips originally, so filed it off.... Then decided they needed some kind of non slip surface afterall.
