Sure glad I will be there and get to hear her tell her views and hunting stories. I have watcher several of her hunting trips on TV. I already have my banquet tickets ordered. By the number of reviews it sounds like we will have a very good turnout in Tulsa.

Re: Tulsa, Who all is going?
I will be there. Have been now for something over 15 years. Tulsa is the place that the first time I went I "discovered" that I was really NOT a Ruger Collector. I had and have some Rugers, but many that attend are "REAL RUGER COLLECTORS". And, I have been happy and pleased to meet some of them. Well, actually, glad to have met all that I have met, but there are many that I haven't met because I am out pounding concrete looking for treasures.
My first trip to Tulsa was the fall Ruger show. That was where I learned why I never saw any of the Hawkeye pistols around. One display there had all of them!!!
Signed up this time to display and got my confirmation for the table with my Friday pass. Got three tickets for the banquet. Includes two friends and we always travel together. They both have Rugers but are not collectors as such. But, they gotta eat and of course the door prizes, auctions, etc. is what got them to come. And, I would have begged them to if they hadn't agreed easily.
Still waffling on my display. I have displayed many times at the Houston Gun Collectors show. It is a non-competitive thing and the reason for displays are to educate others and let them see things they might not see otherwise. My expectations for my display have nothing to do with winning anything. I just do not want to have such a crummy looking display that it embarrasses me.
Sure am getting anxious and will be glad to see you guys that I have met before, and maybe meet a few more!

Re: Tulsa, Who all is going?
You will do just fine, over the years of both displaying and doing 'judging only' we have seen the gammut of a single gun laying on the table, to racks and racks of New guns, to elaborate wall sized display cases and cabinets....remember this is NOT a contest of "who can build the BIGGEST cabinet", but to show and give information to the "unknowing" general public, show them something to learn , or facts that they never knew before , nor SAW before.....bottom line, make sure you 'tag' (label or info/data card or sign) every item on the table ,because some people NEVER saw it before , what most of US take for granted, and see all the time...........Good luck, and have fun, as Chief AJ used to yell out "Ain't Rugers FUN...."

Well said flattop! Looking forward to meeting many new collectors in Tulsa and seeing the different displays. The way it sounds we are going to have a great turn out and a lot of good times.

Re: Tulsa, Who all is going?
Just had another thought -
Yes, I know! Makes my brain hurt too!!
So far, I have 4 others signed up for the Saturday night shindig!
I cannot say they are Ruger Collectors, but sure can say they are semi-collectors. Each one has over 2 and I figured that counts!!!
Two are my normal Tulsa traveling buddies and two are good friends that have the table right behind us !
So, maybe see if you can 'coerce' some of your running buddies to come??
That reminds me - Our table is upstairs at B7 - table 11. All you got to remember is B7-11, like the old convenience store!
